Welcome to Wheels of Joya
Honoring the Life and Legacy of Dr. Danny Joya: A Mission of Hope and Joy
Inspired by the unwavering resilience, faith, and love of Dr. Danny Joya, Wheels of Joya was born. We call it 'Wheels of Joya' because through his wheels, we found our purpose in the pain. Though Dr. Joya is no longer with us, his spirit lives on through our nonprofit, continuing his mission of bringing hope, joy, and love to those facing challenges. This is the Dr. Danny Joya Mission.
Dr. Joya lived as a quadriplegic for 28 years, and we know firsthand the physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles that come with such immense trials. Yet, he never stopped serving others, offering his knowledge, kindness, and strength to those in need. His life is a testament that true impact is not measured by physical ability but by the heart's capacity to give.
Because of his legacy, Wheels of Joya carries forward his mission,to uplift, serve, and remind the world that no challenge is greater than the power of faith and love

We want to be known as a source of hope and purpose for individuals and families facing challenges through direct support and community engagement. We envision a world where every struggle turns into a chance for joy. Through dedicated support and cheerful interactions, we strive to ensure no one feels alone or forgotten on their journey. We want those living in our community struggling through a hard season (assisted living homes, orphanages, chronic illnesses, and those with a disability) to experience a bright spark of hope and know they are loved, valued, and seen through companionship, small gifts, and celebrations, and they aren’t alone.
A Mother-Daughter Duo of Hope: Founders Mary and Hannah Joya
At Wheels of Joya, we're more than a nonprofit, we’re a family on a joyful mission. Mary and Hannah Joya, a mother-daughter duo, discovered their purpose while caring for Dr. Danny Joya (Mary's husband, Hannah’s dad) through his 28-year journey as a quadriplegic. Though they longed for his recovery, they found an even bigger calling: bringing love and light to those often overlooked.
Through their journey, they met people facing tough times and chose to spread joy, proving that even in hard circumstances, hearts can still be full. While Dr. Danny brightened nursing homes with his smile, Mary and Hannah brought fun, faith, and hope to those in need.
We created Wheels of Joya to bring purpose and connection, celebrating every story, and spreading joy through special events and heartfelt experiences. In honor of Dr. Danny’s legacy of kindness and resilience, we continue to share love, laughter, and hope with our community, because we believe that with family, faith, and a little joy, we can make any day brighter.
